Bit busy sorting everything out with finals etc.
My "Alternative Therapy" EP is at about 45% done. I don't want to rush this one, so I'm not gonna overshoot and call a date. I'll have to see.
Still up for reviewing your stuff though, just gimme a PM if you want some constructive words.
In other news, SPRING. ENJOY IT, BITCHES.

Sup NG,
First of all: OFFER STILL STANDS. You're a musician and want some constructive criticism? Hit me up; I'd love to listen to your music. Just be serious though, I'm not gonna spend concious effort on 3 second loops. ;)
So in my last newpost I said I wouldn't have much time to write out music, but I've been producing a fuckton anyway so go check out my new stuff! :3
Would appreciate some comments on this one here:

In other news, I just found out that this guy used my music for his intro on this machinima video. He never told me, as far as I can remember, but it's neat to discover people like my music!

Sup folks! It's been a really REALLY long time since I've made a proper newspost. If you don't feel like reading a bit o' lifestory, just skip to the last 2 paragraphs.
So, generally, I'm sure that about 95% of the people who read this haven't got a clue to who the hell I am, baha. I'm Alex, known as La Yinn here on NG. (And on Soundcloud) Years ago, one kind soul here replied to a review I wrote.. I asked him what he had used to create such a beautiful musical piece; and he showed me indepth. He explained everything on the concepts of music production and I remember it as a turning point in my life.
I'm in love with music, ahaha. It took so many hours before I had a clue what to do in the studio, but as I got pulled into music production, my skills progressed and so did I as a person. I'd say, about a year.. maybe a year and a half ago, I lost myself and with that, all my inspiration and passion. It had spiralled me back into depression and I didn't have a clue what I wanted to do with my life. It killed my character, it buried my passion and desires. It has made me lose many things which I regard as valuable. Friends, opportunities, even love.
It doesn't matter, however. When you get to the point in your life where you really have fuck all to lose, it makes you wonder, it sets your mind to think. Especially recently, I have turned away from my lifeless slurs. I've taken my time to reconsider and reassess. I hold MANY regrets, but today is the day that I close down the past and look only to the future. I've found myself again and I will never allow things to become so uncontrollable and chaotic again.
So, that being said; I'd like to welcome you to my page here on Newgrounds. I'm incredibly busy nowadays with finishing school, stabilizing a hectic financial situation etc - so unfortunately I won't be posting much music anytime soon.. but I feel confident and joyful about it all. I will push myself to grow beyond my boundaries. What I want is to write music. Not because I feel like I have to, but because I've come to the realisation that I simply cannot live without it. It's a form of expression that allows me to say the things that words cannot describe.
But besides expressing inspiration, I want to be inspirational aswell. If you're reading this and you write music too.. gimme a PM! Let me listen to your tunes, feel free to ask for some feedback! If you feel like doing a collaboration of sorts, hit me up! Don't really know your way around all those tricky knobs on your synthesizers? Feel free to ask for some advice on how to get the sound you want to create! I know FL Studio like the back of my hand, so especially if it's concerning that area I'll be able to assist in some form or another. Though I must point out that I don't consider myself as professional or anything. I just like what I do. :-)
I've uploaded two new submissions last month;
(If any of the links aren't working, remove spaces in the url. NG sometimes messes that up D: )
-------------------------
Imenium Demo
(It's generally about the drum pattern; I'm working on incorporating it into a full track, which I might release.)

Aftermath
(This is the audible version of what went through my head on a particular Saturday. This one has some personal meaning.)

Also, if you dig my music - have a look on my SoundCloud page! I usually submit other types of stuff there, check it out!

For now, I'm calling it a day. But GODDAMN, IT FEELS GOOD TO BE BACK.
Thanks for reading.

You review me, I review you. Whether it be audio, flash, drawings or a picture of your grandmother's goldfish - I don't care!
I have too much free time and I feel as if I have not been active enough in the community, while it at one point I did nothing BUT spend time in the community here. I would like to change that, since it has been directly affecting my motivation to write my own tunes.
I see people complaining about not getting reviews on their tracks. I see where you're coming from, looking through my submissions from 2010, Í can count the amount on my own hands. However, with a little bit of effort, most musicians often return the favour and everybody's better off.
So, I would appreciate some reviews, but I'm not asking for them. I think I'll take the initiative after my exam this afternoon and take a peek at all the underrated gems that are submitted daily. :- )

Nope! It may have seemed like it, with my audio page slowly falling into the depths of the NG libraries, but I hereby announce that I am 100% back. I am going to submit a shitstorm of tracks over the next few weeks/months, I'll tell you that much!
For now I've submitted three new tracks.
* Sore Lips (Drum'n'Bass, remixed version)
* Salvanti Salvage (Another dnb track, but darker. Not entirely finished yet)
* Jepper's Cove (A breakbeat track I finished yesterday, go check it out!)
and that's only the beginning. Damn, it feels good to be back.
