That was amazing.

Honestly, that was one of the very few entertaining submissions I've seen in a long time. The finely balanced use of colours, shapes, the storyline! Don't forget about the storyline! Man, at first, I didn't know what to think. I mean, those highs were quite a sight already but when that cow walked up there I just shed a tear. Astonashing. And as if it weren't enough you added some serious special effects. Not the cheap stuff either, but the real deal. And to top it off, the pile of shit. Perfectly drawn. A true piece of art. Magnificant work, keep it up!

Full score. 10/10 and a 5/5.~

Indeed

Best animating skills I've ever seen?

Well, one thing's for sure - you're a perfectionist. Every single, minor detail of the environment is very well drawn and animated, and it sure was a sight to behold. You've gone beyond what I thought was reachable with flash, but I'm glad I was wrong.

Though the animation was sublime, it's a slightly long intro to the series. Explaining the story is nice and all, but there was barely any action in all three parts if you think about it, and that's a real shame because you have to think of the audience you're dealing with. We're Newgrounds. We've been waiting for this episode for over four years, and we kind of expected something to chew on.

Overall, I hope you won't take another four years to complete the second episode. The wait.. the suspense, it's killing me! And that's basically what you've achieved. You've made an intro to a serie you might not find interesting to animate in the coming time, and by doing so, you'd let us all down in a way.

I enjoyed watching this episode though, and I hope you'll continue the series the way you've started out - pure awesomeness covered in epic win.

I laughed so hard!

Man, at first I didn't get it, and the music sounded pretty awkward but after watching it a second time I understood the meaning of the video and lol'd.

Great job, though the animation was a bit to hasty at some points (such as the pipes).

Awesome.

Enjoyed this episode a lot.

I think the most outstanding of this flash is it's graphical side. It looked beautiful, and smooth animation, except for the start. That looks like it's lagging pretty hard, but it doesn't matter to much. Loved the way you've drawn the characters' facial expressions.

The voice acting, the music, all perfectly well.

Though I'm not sure about the movie itself. It feels pretty standard. It's typically cartoonish, and the humor has been done before, though you've put it in another coat.

Even then though, this is an outstanding movie. Great job, and I hope you'll continue on with the series!

Thank you, I'm still trying to develop my own comedic style and direction for the show, this is some great advice for it! Also, for the lagging, I have yet to find a computer other than the one this movie was made on, that can run it with lagging on high quality.

Wow, is all I can say.

Please wait a moment while I grab myself together..

There, back. This truly AMAZES me, because if I hadn't seen this, I could've sworn the Shades Gang was a spam group, but this goes way beyond the average non-spam portal entry!

Your graphical quality is outstanding. I loved the small sparks/fireflies and the mist/fog in the beginning. It was a very warming sight. I felt as if a story was about to begin, an epic story. That feeling was realized by the lyrics of the song, and the animation. I loved it!

The audio speaks for itself. Couldn't be better.

I love music videos. Of course, it's easier to make a music video than to make a movie entirely made up by you, but it gives a sort of pre-emptive structure as to where the artist should be focussing on and of course, the way you create the story described in the song is entirely up to you.

Overall, I think this is a very, very good movie. I'm anxious to watch the full version!

I'm anxious to watch the full version too haha! XD. The Shades Gang is not a spam group, or at least most of us aren't haha. We are a group of flash artists who are all on different levels. It's pretty fun working with everybody there :)

liked it!

I liked it a lot. It had violence, weapons, sexy characters..

but nothing really new, in my opinion. It was 'just' another battle between foes, and however you twist and turn it - it's no more than that.

I enjoyed watching though, and I think the graphical side, aswell as the audio was well good.

Overall, I think you achieved the most you could've gotten out of this. Sure you could've made the environment to an incredible graphical level, but other than that no. It just lacks a original plot, and that'll be my advice to you - come up with a good story. You have the potential to be a great artist, just create something nobody else has done before. It's use has been proven again and again and it never fails.

cool thx for the review. Violence, weapons, yea, but sexy characters? lol all the characters i this animation are super deformed. But yea the next time i make an animation i'm definitely gonna create my own story instead of just making a tribute.

Not bad.

It was very good, in my opinion. Random flashes mostly generate higher scores because you never know what's going to happen next, and everybody likes that.

Although I like the concept, I didn't think it was really well made. The drawings were very basic, and the animation could use some work. Try making more detailed backgrounds, and add more details to characters/objects. There are of course abstract cases in which this doesn't apply.

It really reminded me of "Dreams". It might be coincidence, but they're very similar. It's unfair to give a lower score because of this, but because you've released it later than the other flash, the 'magic' sort of disappeared. Oh well, that's just bad luck. :(

Lochie responds:

That aim of this animation was just to sync animation to the music, I wasn't really paying much attention to the drawing as I was doing it, I should have more.

The VF twins are good friends of mine, of course they made theirs first, but this animation is nothing related to theirs, their "Dreams" was more about small animations that they have put together, mine was one whole thing that would be smooth and you wouldn't realise it would change scenes.

Damn magic >:C

Thanks for the good review. :)

Meh

Don't like the idea, the movie itself lacks anything artistic. The jokes were ok, but they shouldn't really be in a flash.

Very fluent.

Very fluent animation. Liked the idea, although not much is revealed in the movie itself. Bit of a shame, but I guess I'll find out the plot in other parts of the series.

A good watch.

Great sense of humor!

Very well animated, in your own style. Nice.

Graphically outstanding, sound's good and the video overall has a nice feeling to it.

Looking forward to the seventh!
