Very random.

Hmm.

I don't know. It's just to messy in my opinion.

You're better off making a solid beat with a few instruments than adding 50 channels. You could add more reverb to the FL Keys, and make the intro less longer. The true beat kicks in at 1:20, but why does it only last 16 seconds?! The song was more intro and outro, than main chorus, which is REALLY a shame.

Uhh, dude, the chorus played about 4 times. Thanks for the review anyway.

Has a slight Arabic touch to it, imo.

As perfect-insanity already stated, let the main song go on another 4-8 seconds before letting it fade out. Perhaps add a little more power to the kick and bass.

Very good interpretation of a already epic theme song. Is there more to say?

Maybe the kick and bass could use more power. I'll see if I can fix that in my later songs.
Thanks for the review!

I like, I like.

You've really made it like it's supposed to be.

The intro instantly took me away, and swept me through time and space. (O_o()

What I like most about the track is the strong bass you've put into it. It fits so damn well!

Slightly repetitive, just slightly. Though a *really* good track.

Pretty good.

It sounds rather nice. Has a grim feeling to it, though it doesn't sound like a real, proffessional track. No offense. :X

Drums are wicked. Guitar is decent. The guitar should've been slightly louder, or pitched otherwise. The actual guitar playing is good though. If you hadn't said you were a drummer, I'd have guessed otherwise.

Also lots of variation, which (ofcourse) is a plus.

Very reggae-like

Just like you said. Very relaxing, the beat's quite good. You should've added some vocals man, that'd been awesome! Indeed, smoke dat herb! ;)

Though slightly repetitive.

Not really.

Basically it's some notes put into the slayer plugin.

If you're making a song, you need a base. The 'main' beat. That beat can be complex as hell, but should stay the way it is. This song didn't have any structure at all, and to be honest, the slayer plugin isn't a good tool to work with. Try and get some vst's for a guitar!

I'd say "Work on your next song a bit longer and try to create a catchy melody, and everything'll be fine." but seeing your submission count, I doubt it's appropriate.

O nais.

The track itself is very good.

The backing track is pretty good to start with, props to Sorohanro. :p

Back to you: the guitar. It fits VERY well with the track. It gives it a slight sinister feeling, and I like it. Perhaps you could've added more notes though, cause all the notes are played in the same speed after eachother, if you get what I mean.

Yeah i get what you mean but my goal isn't to play tons of notes but to play the rights notes, if you get what I mean ; ). Thanks for the review !

Great setup.

Greetings from a Dutch hardstyle lover. ;)

It's a great setup for a hardcore song,

but it's indeed unfinished. It feels very hollow and empty, there's almost no variation in patterns, and even less in instruments used. Which is a shame really, cause I like the direction you're moving in.

I think you should rebuild this song from scratch and finish it the way it's 'meant' to be heard. I'm eager to listen to the full version, and would love to review it if you decide to go on with this track.

Heh, I was just wondering when the review would show up, good timing ;)

Thanks for the review. You're right, I didn't actually finish the song though, I just uploaded it to see what others think about it.

I'm gonna follow your advice and start the whole thing over. It was actually my first 'real' track made with FL.

Again, thanks for the review, and I'll submit the new version soon ;)

Hmm..

I was almost going to say it didn't belong in the 'house' genre.. Luckily I double-checked, haha!

It's a nice song to listen to, but it's a bit, well.., soft?, to be a song to dance to. The intro caught me right away, but the song doesn't build up from there, and I really would've liked to see the beat burst into something a bit faster. Also, let the guitar play louder! A guitar should add depth and structure to a song, whereas here it sounds like a side-instrument.. and it sounds well bad as a side-instrument.

Still, it's a nice song - just not to dance to. It's more " chillin' ". :p

p4c responds:

haha ill think about it. i meant that plucky synth at the front to be the lead, not the guitar, but i dont think it sounds very bad--its a complex texture for the song and it serves as part of the percussion at teh same time. maybe, maybe.

though i guess its good you thought it was soft--haha i was going for that. just at night, chillin and watchin the world go by.... i guess with that note maybei should change the genre so it isnt labeled as dance haha. thanks for takin a look!

:suprised face:

An overall nice track, with some small flaws.

Let me start by saying that I didn't really enjoy the intro. It felt really empty in comparison to the end of part one, but when the beat kicked in, it fit together perfectly.

I don't know though.. it sounds pretty good, but the low piano notes don't really belong in there, and there's that strange 'noise' in the background which doesn't sound good at all! (I hope it's my headset screwing up all of a sudden) - Because it's a very nice song without it!

Looking forward to the next installment.

7/10 (8 if the 'noise' turns out to be my headset.}

Chymo responds:

Thanks for replying to my review request. I sort of know what you mean by the intro, but it was meant to sound like it followed on from the previous song. What noise in the background? I didn't add any sort of sound effects, apart from the ones at the very start.
